Margrethe Vestager — The Antitrust Enforcer Who Doesn't Break Up
Margrethe Vestager served as European Commissioner for Competition from 1 November 2014 to 30 November 2024, ten consecutive years and two consecutive Commissions. She was the first woman to hold the EU's antitrust enforcement portfolio. During her second term she also held the title of Executive Vice President for a Europe Fit for the Digital Age.
